So, why did I decide to become a Norwex consultant? Initially, I was concerned, that I would not be a very good salesperson. My husband was telling me that I would probably end up investing more money into it than I would get out of it, because I am such a pushover. But, after doing my research and praying on it, I realized, I could only earn products and a great commission. And, I am hoping a little bit that the product will sell itself. I am excited to find out where it leads.
My main reason for getting into it is that I have had a longing to be able to work from home and therefore spend more time with family, which Norwex allows me to do. Of course, I'm going to continue teaching, which I love too. But, during the summers, holidays and while on maternity leave, Norwex is a great opportunity to keep an active lifestyle and be a mom.
Another reason is that the benefits of keeping my home a chemical free zone are immense. There have been points in my life where I seriously questioned the safety of bringing strongly perfumed, heavy cleaning chemical products into my home. In my son's first year and a half of life, I noticed many times where he was just so stuffed up. He was never diagnosed with allergies, but I believed it was in part due to the dust and perhaps the use of cleaning products and air fresheners I was using. I too, found that at times, after using a scented cleaning product, I would get headaches. Not only that, but my home didn't smell clean, it just smelled covered up. Norwex products are safe, simple, natural, organic. These features are really important to me and I have noticed the difference in using their products. Though, it seems there is an initial investment as some of the products are priced higher than off the shelf brands, the savings are huge when you consider the cleaning products you no longer have to buy. The average household spends $450 to $600 per year on cleaning products. Since I began using Norwex I have saved money and now that I'm a consultant I am getting a lot of their products for free.
Finally, there are also so many more perks to becoming a consultant. Who knows where it will lead? But, I look forward to finding out.
Norwex started out by creating a microfiber cloth that could clean everything with just water. 20 years later they have expanded from a microfiber cloth to an array of cleaning products and skin care products that have absolutely no chemicals. These enzymes are able to break down and actually eliminate organic residues.
When I examined Norwex more closely, I found that they are a company that is striving to make change in the way we clean our homes and the results of this are a ripple effect of sustainability that goes from individual homes, to the greater community, to the whole planet. So, what I'm doing has direct health benefits for my family and is also an incremental way of taking care of the earth. These ideals fit in perfectly with the way I already am as a person. I've always enjoyed being active, eating healthy, natural and organic food, growing my own food, using natural remedies for cleaning and illness, and shopping locally.
